Zuni Road Study to be Completed August 2011
by ptaylor on 07/04/2011
Earlier this year, the City of Albuquerque initiated a study of Zuni Road from Washington to Moon to look at pedestrian safety along the roadway. The study has looked at vehicular and pedestrian traffic, accidents, the types and locations of pedestrian improvements that could improve the current situation, and any right of way or utilities issues that should be considered. Potential changes to the roadway could include sidewalks, traffic signals, striping, street lights and speed limits.

The study will include recommendations based on the study findings, including priority improvements, design concepts and construction cost estimates. The first public meeting was held in February 2011, and the study will be completed in August 2011.
